A double chin can be caused by factors such as weight gain, genetics or ageing and is one of the most common areas of concern.
We use HIFU technology (High intensity focused ultrasound) to permanently reduce fat as well as tighten skin in the same session.
The ultrasound energy is specifically targeted into the fat cells that are causing the appearance of a double chin and cause a thermal reaction inside them, causing them to break down and effectively die. Your body will naturally breakdown the dead fat in the treatment area over the next 12 weeks and get rid of them through your lymphatic system. At the same time, new collagen and elastin will form, helping to lift and tighten the chin and jawline.

Q: What does the treatment feel like?
A: We have the latest Hifu technology that has a cooling system built in for a pain free treatment. Most clients do not feel anything.
Q: How do I prepare for treatment?
A: Please avoid heat treatments on the same day or for the following 24 hours.
Q: Are there side effects?
A: In some cases, slight redness or mild swelling may occur, which will quickly subside. There may also be a slight sensitivity to touch, a slight ache over the bone areas, slight tingling sensation, which can persist for up to 2 weeks.
In very rare cases, bruising, welting, temporary local numbness can occur. However, these are mild and temporary in nature, if they happen at all.
Q: What is the aftercare?
A: After treatment, you can immediately resume your normal activities because the skin’s upper layers are not damaged by the high intensity ultrasound.
- Avoid sun exposure (use sunscreen if necessary)
- Avoid heat treatments such as hot bath/ sauna/ sunbed for 24 hours
- Try to drink a minimum of 2 litres of water per day to keep skin hydrated.
- Moisturise your face 2-3 times a day as hifu can dry out the skin.
